Men’s Skin Care Products

Monday, March 24th, 2008

In the field of skin care, it’s not been a men’s world. But an increase in skin care products made exclusively for a man’s tough pretense indicates that ladies may have to begin making room in the miracle-cream- littered drug cabinets. Sales of grooming items for men, including razors, deodorants, hair-growth products, and cleansers– are believed to rise up to $6 billion by the next year, in the opinion of Packaged Facts, a section of Market Research Group. We asked a fistful of male workfellows, grading in age from the mid 20s to late-50s, to attempt some of the modern skin care merchandise. The products selected for testing can be part of any shaving routine alone or in combination.

We also tested a couple of cosmetics made to help forestall the signs of aging (another tendency activated by the manufacturers famous for keeping crinkles from appearing on women’s faces). As one of the male item testers said, being fairly clean is perplexed. Dealing with multiple skin care products isn’t a simple adjustment, particularly for men who aren’t intending to contend for mirror time with their important others. So getting an exhaustive review of products was a tough task; many of the testers gave a bare “no” or “yes” when inquired if they liked the items and, when pushed for more, stated they had nothing to equate the products to but a can of shaving cream or bar of soap.
